Dosage
Starting 3 days before the expected period, take 5mg of norethisterone three times a day. It is typically taken for 17 days to delay the period, but can be taken for up to 20 days.
Effectiveness
The effectiveness varies from individual to individual. However, the period resumes 2-3 days after stopping norethisterone.
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, bloating, breast soreness, reduced sex drive, tiredness and headaches.
